ABOUT WFLA The WFLA, or West Florida Limousine Association, is a 501c(6) nonprofit organization dedicated to the safety and prosperity of chauffeured transportation in Tampa Bay.
WHO WE ARE The West Florida Limousine Association serves to help promote and protect the ground transportation industry on the West Coast of Florida to insure the utmost public safety for all passengers. Unlike TNCs such as Uber and Lyft, all WFLA members are licensed and commercially insured transportation companies requiring level 2 fingerprint background checks for chauffeurs. The WFLA meets every two months to provide an avenue for members to collaborate, discuss important issues, share industry news, announce association updates, and raise money for various nonprofit or philanthropic purposes. We are proud to give back to our community each year with a WFLA Toys for Tots drive for children in need for the holidays.
Next time you or one of your loved ones are considering hailing a risky and illegal digital hitch-hike, always remember to Think Before You App and Ride Responsibly! If and when possible, always ride in tandem or groups for safety and if you ever feel like you are in danger while riding as a passenger in someone else's vehicle, download and use the SafeTrek App until you're home safely. The WFLA has recently re-branded and we are excited to be making great progress in stabilizing the foundation of this great association. With fresh new faces on the WFLA board and renewing interest from current, past and new WFLA members, we encourage Tampa Bay area operators to support your industry and join the WFLA!
